Another reason not to have a purse is you have to constantly buy new contents after you fend off muggers in the subway. The cracked and broken bits and pieces in the bottom of your bag keep pricking your fingers any way as you rifle through belongings. So, who cares what the self-defense instructor said — he doesn’t carry a purse, why should you?
Ditch the bag.
