The first question that comes to mind is “why?”
They’re bright people, they know that this is how many will react to the rip off of iMac design.
I suppose it is easier to imitate than to innovate.

I don’t mind. Speaking as a mac fanboy, even I think PCs desperately need a facelift. The best one I’ve seen so far is the Gateway One, which came out last year around this time. It looks like a black video iPod, but bigger.

I disagree, only Apple fanboys will react badly to ripping off the iMac design, and there’s little chance of pulling those folks over to their market.
