Some of you may be aware, I am writing my third book, Creatives Talk. This book, like the ones before, is application-oriented. As such, it is more than a book. Creatives Talk will be an experience! If you are a seasoned leader, a new leader, a mentor, or a coach, this experience guide is being written for you. I have found that when I talk with other creative leaders over a concentrated period of time, on a topic we are all interested in, within a structured framework, I learn so much more. I have also discovered the value of asking good questions of those I admire. A timely, well-asked question is a valuable asset in any leader’s toolbox.

I will touch on twelve themes that people transitioning into leadership need to pay attention to:

  1. Getting to know the team
  2. Demonstration of care
  3. Communication
  4. Understanding your weaknesses
  5. Working through team issues
  6. Taking care of yourself
  7. Leadership styles
  8. Keeping your focus during change
  9. Teamwork
  10. Financial and emotional intelligence
  11. Culture
  12. Creativity

I need your help

As you look back over these twelve themes listed above, who are industry leaders you would like to hear from on each theme? Who comes readily to mind? Would you comment below?

I am excited to bring the content in Creatives Talk to you. I want it to be inspirational as well as practical. I would love to know your thoughts on these themes and related experts, as I am about to solicit leaders in various industries.
